Surati Kadhi


Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 20 minutes
Serves: Four

  • 250 g yoghurt
  • 2 tbsp besan
  • ½ tbsp canola oil
  • ½ tbsp ghee (optional)
  • 1 tbsp cumin powder
  • 1tbsp green chili
  • 1 tbsp ginger paste
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • Fresh curry leaves
  • 1 glass water
  • Salt

Method

Beat the curd and besan to a creamy consistency by gradually adding water and salt for taste.
Add all the ingredients, except cumin and oil.
Bring it to boil, stirring constantly and let simmer for 15 minutes.
Heat the oil, and the cumin and stir fry for a few seconds and add to the dish.
Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve with hot rice.
